ROLEX. A 'NEW OLD STOCK' STAINLESS STEEL AUTOMATIC DUAL TIME WRISTWATCH WITH SWEEP CENTRE SECONDS, DATE AND BRACELET, MADE FOR THE SULTANATE OF OMAN

The present timepiece is one of the exceedingly few examples of a so-called 'Omani' GMT Master II featuring the Khanjar symbol engraved on its case back . It is preserved in excellent overall condition, retaining the factory protective stickers on the case, case back and deployant clasp.

The GMT Master II reference 116710LN was introduced at the 2007 Baselworld, the 'LN' for 'Lunette Noir', French for black bezel. The Oyster case was upgraded and differed from its predecessor by the 'super case' including larger lugs with vertical satination instead of diagonal, coarser satination of the lugs than of those of the earlier model, triplock crown instead of twinlock, AR (anti-reflective) coating of the cyclops lens, green GMT or 24 hour hand, green 'GMT MASTER II' writing on the dial, 'Maxi Dial', e.g. larger hands and larger indexes, ceramic bezel insert with platinum-filled numbers as opposed to the anodized aluminum bezel insert of the, the bracelet with solid, polished centre links, heavier and more complicated construction of the clasp, including a hidden 'Easy Link'.
