Specialist note
Franck Muller established his eponymous brand in 1992 with Vartan Sirmakes. Very quickly the brand earned a reputation with its high complication watches, original designs, and Muller himself came to be known as the “Master of Complications”.
The present timepiece has the distinction of having two dials – the front has a conventional perpetual calendar chronograph layout with a 30-minute counter at 12 o’ clock and sub-dials at 3 o’ clock, 6 and 9 indicating the day, month and leap year, and date respectively. Eagle-eyed observers will also note that the day and month indications are in the French language. The second dial (on the reverse side) features a multi-scale chronograph featuring a tachymeter, a telemeter and pulsometer.
With its classically-styled 18k yellow gold case (which is incidentally No. 1), this watch is offered here with its Certificate of Origin and presentation box. A perpetual calendar chronograph with a quirky double dial offered in very good condition with box and papers - this should appeal to enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike.
