La sua distribuzione dei piani, la sua organizzazione dello spazio, ci ricordano l'importante dettaglio […] che egli era uno studente di architettura di Belle Arti.
Se guardiamo queste costruzioni da questo punto di vista, capiremo meglio il loro equilibrio essenziale. È una questione di vita o di morte. Se dovessimo trovare degli antenati, faremmo riferimento a Orcagna e Signorelli. È la stessa secchezza crepitante, la stessa unità di struttura. I colori sono solo ciò che sono: sottolineano.
His distribution of plans, his organisation of space, remind us of the crucial detail [...] that he was a student of architecture at the Beaux-Arts.
If we look at these constructions from this point of view, we will better understand their essential balance. It is a matter of life or death. If we had to find ancestors, we would refer to Orcagna and Signorelli. It is the same crackling dryness, the same unity of structure. The colours are only what they should be: they underline.
