Specialist note

Released in 2006, Patek Philippe Reference 5396 continues the legacy of the annual calendar complication from the manufacture. The watch features a two-line annual calendar with moon phases and a 24 hour indicator. The watch has a sector dial which is inspired by the timepieces from the 1930s. The sector rings along with the thermally-blued steel hands generate a lovely contrast against the silver opaline dial. Both elements bring a feeling of vibrancy and youthfulness to the complicated watch. Reference 5396 is housed in an 18k rose gold case which has a sapphire case back to further bring the vintage-inspired watch into modernity.
