Specialist note

Released in 1997 alongside Patek Philippe’s 20th anniversary Nautilus models, the Aquanaut Ref. 5060 was the brand’s first watch fitted with a “tropical” rubber strap. A year later, the brand introduced the Ref. 5065 ‘Jumbo’ with a 38-mm-wide case.

Sports-luxe before it became a fashion byword, the 5065 became one of the firm’s most popular models. This Aquanaut’s design language borrows generously from the Nautilus’ - most notably, the octagonal rounded bezel. Featuring a screw-down crown, the three-part yellow gold case is water-resistant up to 120 meters.

The Aquanaut Ref. 5065 was in production from 1998 to 2006 when it was replaced by the Ref. 5165.
