CARTIER, TANK ANGLAISE REF. 3508, A GOLD AUTOMATIC WRISTWATCH

The original Cartier Tank was created in 1917 and was named so because of its distinct design that resembled a military tank, what with the broad brancards (French for stretcher) or case sides. The Tank Anglaise was launched in the early 2000s as a tribute to the brand’s flagship store in London. The Anglaise featured broader brancards that also served to protect the crown and featured a more symmetrical design.
