Inspired by the tanks of the WWI Allied Forces, the Cartier Tank case features a square shaped case, reminiscent of its inspiration. The Cartier Tank Americaine was further inspired by the 1930s construction of American skyscrapers, leading to its longer case size and curved lugs.
