Specialist note
The Patek Philippe reference 5235 was launched at the Baselworld fair in 2012, it remains the first modern annual calendar wristwatch of the firm produced with a regulator dial. It featured a case that was reminiscent of vintage Patek Philippe models like the Ref. 3450 and 3448, the linear brushed dial is extremely well executed and the engraved Patek Philippe logo on the brand was, at the time, completely novel from the brand.
The model also featured a completely new movement which has only been used on this reference and featured high-tech innovations like a Pulsomax escapement, Spiromax balance spring, and Gyromax balance.
A relic of watchmaker workshops, regulator dials allow more accuracy than conventional timepieces as the hour and minute hands do not share the central pinion position on the dial but are independently placed.
Considered as one of the most significant technical innovations in Patek Philippe’s history, the present reference is further more offered in pristine conditions with it’s original Certificate of Origin and presentation box.
