A LARGE JEWELLED GOLD-MOUNTED YELLOW CHALCEDONY MODEL OF A DUCKLING
BY FABERGÉ, WORKMASTER HENRIK WIGSTRÖM, ST PETERSBURG, 1899-1904
Realistically carved as a standing duckling, with head turned to one side, the eyes set with olivines, with finely chased gold feet, marked under feet with workmaster's initials
2 1⁄2 in. (6.5 cm.) high

Acquired from Wartski, London, in May 1995.

Specialist note

A very similar model of a duckling was sold at Christie's, Geneva, 11 May 1982, lot 320.
