New York Giants Autographed Photographs by Frank W. Smith c.1911 (Period Rotogravure Photomatch)(NL Championship Team)

Series of (14) original 5"x8" sepia tone images in a matte finish by Frank W. Smith who was a noted photographer for the Cleveland Plain Dealer during the early part of the 20th century. The photos depict individual New York Giants players posed, in uniform, with various equipment. Each image is signed by the respective player in black fountain pen across the front and/or white margin. Players include: Art Devlin, Art Wilson. J.A. Maxwell (signed on back too), Arlie Latham, G.E. Paulet,. Grover Hartley, Otis Crandall, George Wiltse, J.J. Murray, Art Fletcher, Spud Hennessey, Beals Becker, Lew Ames, and Louis Drucke. Several have also been signed by in the white margin to the left but were asked to do a second signing on the image as evidenced by Smith's purpose of using the image within a larger collage for publishing. Small number in pencil notated on right margin with few small black paper residue spots on back. Incredible scarcities with unprecedented period corroborative photomatch.
