According to the Archives of Piaget, the present watch was manufactured in 1989.
The iconic Polo model in gold was introduced in 1979, becoming the emblem of an era of luxury and tying the brand to Polo, the sport of kings. The model was powered by the 7P quartz movement, a smaller series of these solid gold watches were available with a variety dials, such as onyx, lapis lazuli, opaline, tiger eye or mother-of-pearl.
