A PAIR OF UNUSUAL BRONZE RITUAL TRIPOD FOOD VESSELS, LIDING
MID-SHANG DYNASTY, 14TH-13TH CENTURY BC
The exterior of each tri-lobed vessel is cast below the rim with a narrow band of scrolls that taper in a diagonal from a central "eye," all between two rows of circles.
7 ½ in. (19 cm.) high, cloth boxes

These liding with their unusual decorative bands are similar to a liding of similar height (19.5 cm.) illustrated in Shang and Zhou Bronzes from Shaanxi Province, Beijing, 1979, p. 74, pl. 71.
