The design of the present lot is reminicisent of Jean-Louis Prieur whose design for a wall-light, now in the J. Paul Getty Museum (H. Ottomeyer, P. Prschel, et al., Vergoldete Bronzen, Munich, 1986, vol. I, p. 172, fig. 3.5.3)
