CHINE, DYNASTIE QING, MARQUE A SIX CARACTERES EN BLEU SOUS COUVERTE DANS UN DOUBLE CERCLE ET EPOQUE KANGXI (1662-1722)
Orné d'une frise de grecque à la bordure du col, l'extérieur du bol est à décor d'une bande de pétales de lotus stylisés autour du pied. L'intérieur est rehaussé d'une fleur à quatre pétales entourée par des rinceaux stylisés ; petite restauration.
Diamètre: 16 cm. (6 ¼ in.)

Previously in a Welsh family collection, acquired in London in the 1950s.

Specialist note

An identical example is in the collection of the Shanghai Museum, illustrated in the Kangxi Porcelain Ware from the Shanghai Museum Collection, Hong Kong, 1998, pl. 17. Another identical so called 'Palace bowl' is in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, illustrated by Rose Kerr, Chinese Ceramics, Porcelain of the Qing Dynasty, London, 1986, pl. 63.
