Domenico Puligo (Florence 1492-1527) and Studio

We are grateful to Dr. Elena Capretti for proposing the attribution on the basis of photographs. A number of versions of this composition by Puligo are known, including examples in the Musée de l'Assistance Publique, Paris (inv. no. AP 1538), Genoa and the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest (inv. no. 71.23), the last of which Dr. Capretti considers to be the finest of the versions and entirely autograph.
