Although no records of the bed exist in the Royal Collection the ormolu wreathed monogram of a ‘C’ and ‘L’’ entwined, is likely to relate to Princess Charlotte and her husband Prince Leopold and their yearlong marriage, before Princess Charlotte’s untimely death, from 1816-17.
