First edition of Rufinus’s exposition on the Creed, an influential commentary on the state of the Church in the 5th century. Tyrannius Rufinus was a monk and an important translator of Greek texts into Latin, and is also remembered for his friendship and later his adversarial relationship with Jerome. Ulrich Zel is recognised as the first printer in Cologne, publishing his first work there in 1466.
