Specialist note

The Project Z6 is held in a Zalium case, a material unique to Harry Winston haute horlogerie. Project Z6 was made in a limited edition of just 300 pieces, 250 with anthracite dial and 50 with silver dial such as the present watch.

The material Zalium, patented by Ronald Winston, had been reserved for use in the aerospace industry and for surgical tools. Zalium is a zirconium-based alloy that is reportedly harder than titanium. Zalium is difficult to work with and must be machined from an ingot.
