Octave Denis Victor Guillonnet (French, 1872-1967)

The present lot is probably the work for a tapestry, from a series of works on science. It has been suggested that this was designed for Les Gobelins with instruction from the faculty of the Sorbonne in Paris. That series of works were produced by Guillonnet in 1942 for tapestries produced in 1944.
