Exceedingly rare advance copyright printing in wrappers, preceding the first published edition. On copyright page: “Set up and electrotyped. Published [space], 1907.” Deposited Jan. 5, 1907. These unillustrated and plainly bound copies would have been printed in a very limited number for copyright purposes only. The first published book edition was not published until February 1908 (BAL 11908). BAL only locates only two copies: Yale University Library and Library of Congress (incomplete).
