MOVEMENT: Manual, ruthenium coated with two independent gear-trains, 36 jewels

Specialist note

The Chronometre a Resonance featuring a movement uses two balance wheels, beating in resonance with one another, in order to keep time more accurately and eliminate deviation. The winding crown is at 12 o’clock, and the seconds hands is synchronized by the crown at 4 o’clock. The dial has Arabic numerals on two silvered engine-turned time displays and subsidiary seconds, as well as a fan-shaped power reserve sector. The watch has a sapphire caseback, featuring the two independent gear-trains set on a single plate.

Furthermore, for collectors of F.P. Journe watches, the limited edition series of pieces made with ruthenium-coated movements and dials are among the most desirable, for both the material used as well as their striking and innovative aesthetics. The present watch is number 6 of a limited edition of only 99 examples.
