Valjoux 92 mechanical lever movement stamped EWD, 17 jewels, black dial, applied baton numerals with luminous accents, luminous hands, central white chronograph hand, two silvered engine-turned subsidiary dials for 45 minutes and constant seconds, circular case, black bezel calibrated to a maximum of 60 units, screw back engraved; Heuer Autavia, Stainless Steel Chronograph, Waterproof, Guaranteed 330 FT Under Water., two round chronograph buttons in the band, case, dial and movement signed

Specialist note

Vintage Autavia chronographs from the 1960s are seeing unprecedented interest and demand from collectors, and the present watch is a great example of the aesthetic purity of the design. In fact, a similar model with three registers was worn by the legendary race car driver Jochen Rindt and was recently selected to be the basis for a re-edition by TAG Heuer in 2017.
