Specialist note

With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated 16 June 2004, leather wallet, fitted presentation box and outer packaging. Furthermore delivered with Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with steel-colored dial and pink gold Arabic numerals in 2002 and its subsequent sale on 24 March 2004.

Reference 5070 was the first chronograph-only reference produced by Patek Philippe since the reference 1463 was discontinued in the late 1960's. It was introduced in 1998 in yellow gold only, then beginning in 2001 in white gold, in 2003 pink gold and since 2008 it has only been produced in platinum. It is thought that for each version color that production ceased after reaching 1000 pieces.

To the best of our knowledge, this watch is fresh to the market.

For another example of the Reference 5070 in pink gold, please see Lot 2551 in this sale.
