These Meissen models, brought to life with painted deutscheBlumen, capture the essence of engraved designs published by Juste-Aurèle Meissonnier in his Designs for Decorations of Rooms and Ornaments (see T. Strange, An Historical Guide to French Interiors, Furniture, Decoration, London, 1903, p. 270).
