Acquired directly from the artist by Kunsthandel Goupil & Co, Paris, 31 May 1869 (Dfl. 250 together with another work View of the Vijzelstraat Enkhuizen (see: Laanstra, no. 69-03), as: Gezicht achter de Zuiderkerk te Enkhuyzen.
