Conceived after a design by Fernand Léger before 1930 for Myrbor, this version probably executed by Marie Cuttoli and Galerie Lucie Weill between 1949 and 1962

Specialist note


The design for this carpet is most likely part of a series Léger produced for the Myrbor Gallery based on the principles of Purism. Resembling collages, their names were determined by the colour of the grounds, White, Red, Green etc.
