(Some neat repairs to the hinges of some mounts, minor marginal soling.) Near contemporary red morocco, sides panelled in gilt, spine gilt in compartments, gilt edges, burgundy moiré silk doublures, gilt turn ins (corners lightly rubbed). A FINE EROTIC ALBUM FROM THE NORDMANN COLLECTION, with 32 watercolours by the Belgian artist René Kergas, illustrator of La vie de garçon dans les hôtels garnis (1883). The generally light and humorous treatment includes scenes from literature, including Robinson Crusoe, orientalist fantasies, including Turkey and China, and a trompe l'oeil with playing cards. Cf.
