Cal. 727 mechanical movement, 17 jewels, black matte dial, applied gold baton numerals, luminous accents, luminous hands, three engine-turned gilt subsidiary dials for constant seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hours register, tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case, bezel calibrated for 200 units per hour, screw back, screw down crown, two screw down chronograph buttons in the band, 18K gold Rolex buckle, case, dial and movement signed

Specialist note

Reference 6265 is the final evolution of the manually wound Daytonas. Featuring the calibre 727, it is the only Daytona reference with the advanced, and nowadays extremely appreciated, screw-down pushers and metal bezel. Curiously, there are instead two versions of black bezel and screw pushers Daytonas: 6263 and 6240, although 6240 was never made in gold.
This superb wristwatch is aesthetically outstanding: the luxurious gold case envelops the pitch black matte dial, on which the only concession to a brighter palette are the champagne subdials and the gold numerals and hands. The result is highly dramatic and impressive.
