Specialist note

The present reference 1803 is a very rare example of the much-sought after "Stella" dial series made for the Sultanate of Oman, the case back stamped by the renowned retailer Asprey in London.

It is distinguished by the burgundy lacquered dial with diamond indexes, a most elegant variant, and the calendar indications in Arabic scripture, both for day and for date. Another noteworthy feature is the lack of the Khanjar dagger or the Sultan's signature, normally found on watches made by special order for the Sultanate.

The excellent, original overall condition furthermore enhances the appeal of this rare Day-Date.
