Patek Philippe. A fine and rare 18k white gold limited edition automatic annual calendar wristwatch with sweep centre seconds, moon phases, original Guarantee and box
Lot 210 VARIOUS PROPERTIES

The following two lots, 210 and 211, are examples of the rare and extremely sought-after limited edition reference 5150. Made to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the collaboration between Patek Philippe and Tiffany & Co., reference 5150 was made in the three gold colors, 150 pieces each. The fact that only a handful of these watches came back to the market - over the 13 years passed since they were manufactured - is an obvious indication of how jealously collectors guard this model, which is already an established staple of Patek Philippe collections all over the world.

The collaboration between the two firms began in 1851, when the founders of the companies, Antoine Norbert de Patek and Charles Lewis Tiffany, shook hands in New York. Since then the relationship flourished, and nowadays Tiffany is virtually the only name Patek Philippe allows on the dials of its watches when exceptional occasions, such as this 150th anniversary, demand so.
