Confiscated from the above following the German Occupation.
Recovered by the Monuments Fine Arts and Archives Section from Chiemsee Palace, Bavaria (Chiemsee no. 88/1), and transferred to the Munich Central Collecting Point, October 22, 1945 (MCCP no. 11535/1).
Repatriated to France August 23, 1946, and restituted to Hans (Jean) Furstenberg thereafter.
Anonymous sale; Sotheby's, New York, 1 May 2001, lot 125.
Acquired at the above sale by the present owner.
