AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY PEARL AND DIAMOND MEMORIAL PENDANT
The central navette shaped panel with diamond-set C beneath a marquess' coronet motif raised on a hair ground beneath a rock crystal cover, to the diamond line border and similarly-set scrolling frame intermittently-set with single pearl accents, with detachable old and rose-cut diamond suspension loop, the reverse with hinged cover opening to reveal a portrait miniature of a gentleman, mounted in silver and gold, circa 1915, 9.7cm long, original fitted case from Garrard & Co Ltd., two of the eight pearls are imitation replacements

Theresa Susey Helen, Marchioness of Londonderry (1856-1919) and by descent.

Specialist note

The miniature depicts Charles, 6th Marquess of Londonderry, this was almost certainly given by him to his wife Theresa, Marchioness of Londonderry.

Please note these pearls have not been tested for natural origin
