The border chased and pierced with scrolls and flowers, swing handle; together with a George III wine coaster, unmarked, circa 1770, the sides pierced with foliage issuing from shells amidst crosslets, turned wood base; both engraved with initial M beneath a baron's coronet
The first 5.7/8 in. (15 cm.) diameter
Weighable silver, 6 oz. 18 dwt. (216 gr.)

Probably William Wellesley-Pole, Baron Maryborough and later 3rd Earl of Mornington (1763-1845) and by descent to his daughter Emily, Lady FitzRoy Somerset (1792-1881).
