On four feet with slightly domed top, silver mounted and inlaid in stained ivory, tortoiseshell and mother-of-pearl on a kinji ground decorated in togidashi-e, with panels depicting various birds amongst flowers, the top panel with utensils for the tea ceremony, the hinged door opening to reveal three drawers decorated in gold and silver togidashi-e on a black lacquer ground with an egret on a waterside under a full moon
