With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming the production of the present watch with slate-grey dial and applied indexes in white gold in 1988 and its subsequent sale on 13 January 1989.

This special edition was manufactured exclusively for the Japanese market to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Patek Philippe. According to our research, 500 pieces were manufactured in total with two different types of dials; one in silver and the other in darker silver.

The present lot is in overall excellent condition, fresh to the market and further to our research, a detailed count reveals that less than 14 examples of reference 3718 have appeared at auction to date.
