Delicate and refined objects of the fine art of small-scale arts and crafts, form watches were particularly fashionable in the late 18th and first half of the 19th century. Their manufacture required a profuse level of precision from the watchmakers, goldsmith, enamellers and jewelers, rendering them highly coveted treasures accessible only to a very selected clientele.
