MARKED FABERGÉ, WITH THE WORKMASTER'S MARK OF MICHAEL PERCHIN, ST PETERSBURG, CIRCA 1894, SCRATCHED INVENTORY NUMBER 47414
Triangular, on two beaded spandrel feet and with a pine cone finial, centring an oval reeded aperture surmounted by a rose gold ribbon twist and suspending green and rose gold ribbon-tied laurel swags set with flower-heads, enamelled in coral pink over sunburst guilloché ground, the outer border cast and chased with laurel pattern, marked under base
2½ in. (6.4 cm.) high

Tsarevich Nicholas Alexandrovich (1868-1918), Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna (1875-1960) and Grand Duke Michael Alexandrovich (1878-1918), purchased from Fabergé's St Petersburg branch on 9 January 1894 for 120 roubles.

Specialist note

The present frame is a rare and unusual joint purchase from Fabergé by three individuals, notably the children of Emperor Alexander III.
