MARKED WITH MAKER'S MARK XK ONLY, CIRCA 1720
Oval and on four leaf-capped paw feet, the two hinged covers each with a gadrooned border and engraved with two coats-of-arms accolé below a viscount's coronet, one compartment with an internal divider, marked underneath with maker's mark only twice
4¾ in. (12 cm.) long
9 oz. 6 dwt. (288 gr.)
The arms are apparently those of Rudin, of Savoy, accolé with those of Icard of Provence.
