Rivington. 4 works in 25 vols, 8° (c.233 x c.240), uniformly bound in contemporary diced Russia (extremities rubbed, one headcap chipped, sides occasionally lightly discoloured or scuffed), comprising: The Natural History of British Fishes. 1802-1808. 5 vols. 120 hand-coloured engraved plates by and after Donovan. (Plates occasionally evenly yellowed, some light spotting in the text.)
FIRST EDITION. The finely-coloured plates depict the common British fish species as well as a number of rarer visitors: sun-fish, king-fish, electric-ray, and others.
