With a later red velvet button-down curved back rail and seat, on lotus leaf wrapped and scroll suppports and tapering acanthus front legs
31 in. (79 cm.) high; 26¾ in. (67.5 cm.) wide; 20½ in. (52 cm.) deep

Specialist note

The use of rich French inspired gilt-gesso ornamentation, augmented by Grecian scrolls, is reminiscent of the seat furniture commissioned by George IV from the firm Morel and Seddon, for the enhancement of the East Wing at Windsor Castle during the late 1820's.
