Specialist note

The Project Z6 is held in a Zalium case, a material unique to Harry Winston haute horlogerie.

The material Zalium, patented by Ronald Winston, had been reserved for use in the aerospace industry and for surgical tools. Zalium is a zirconium-based alloy that is reportedly harder than titanium. Zalium is difficult to work with and must be machined from an ingot. Zalium dust is also very flammable.
