The ivory top fluted and carved with a band of foliage, the replaced silver ferrule engraved Lord FitzRoy Somerset, the knopped stick terminating in a brass tip, fitted with a woven black wrist loop; together with two silver-mounted ivory paper knives, mark of William Comyns, London, 1891 and 1903, the handles chased with courting couples and butterflies, and a silver-mounted horn paper knife, mark of Sampson Mordan, London, 1882, with a seated monkey finial, the engraved silver mount pierced with foliage
