"The most recent bottle of 86 Yquem demonstrated anew the classic nature of this vintage of the preeminent Sauternes. The wine at almost 25 is showing a lovely, intense botrytis character on the nose along with an expressive, tangy exotic character to the fruit and a hint of ginger and spice, yet the wine is not overly developed. On the palate the wine is certainly sweet but not to excess V everything here is stylish and very balanced. A very complex wine V amazing. A dinner at Christies, December 2010"
