Cal. 240 Q nickel-finished lever movement stamped with the Geneva seal, 27 jewels, Gyromax balance, free sprung regulator, 22K gold micro-rotor, silvered matte dial, applied white gold baton numerals, three subsidiary dials for day and 24 hour display, month and leap year, moon phases and date, circular case, snap on back, case, dial and movement signed
36 mm. diam.

Specialist note

With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin and Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvery opaline white dial and white gold numerals in 1991 and its subsequent sale on 31 May 1991. Furthermore delivered with 18K white gold and wooden setting pin, instructions, fitted veneered presentation box and outer packaging.

Reference 3940, in production from 1985 until 2006, was available in different case materials, platinum being the rarest. The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, pp. 292 - 293.
