A very similarly decorated small chest (though without the arching frieze) is illustrated in Gardiner & Allen (eds.) Before the Mast - Life and Death aboard the Mary Rose, The Mary Rose Trust, Portsmouth 2005, page 397. The Mary Rose sank in 1545. Another similar example is in The Birth Room at The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust in Stratford-upon-Avon.
