David Bomberg (1890-1957)

Bomberg's Ghetto Theatre series marks a return to the East End Jewish subject matter that so inspired some of his greatest pre-war work. The earlier dynamism of the pre-war figures contrast with the slumped and subdued post-war audience of the present work.
