Circular, the openwork back plate set with twenty-six table-cut rubies, surmounted by a red and white champlevé enamel cartouche decorated with seed pearls and a collet-set table-cut emerald, the sides mounted with translucent blue enameled C-scrolls, the center affixed with gold and enamel drapery swags, and a white champlevé enamel figure of a pelican in her piety, her breast mounted with a cabochon spinel and collet-set emeralds mounted to her outstretched wings, the reverse enameled in black, white, blue and green basse-taille enamel, two pendant pearls and three collet-set table-cut rubies and pearl pendants below, apparently unmarked
