PRANEET SOI (B. 1971)

India will officially showcase the country's contemporary art at the Venice Biennale in June 2011. Art historian Ranjit Hoskote, the curator of this pavilion, has confirmed a focus on sculptor/painter Praneet Soi amongst others including Gigi Scaria and Zarina Hashmi, who will all get to "critique the idea of the nation-state as something unitary or territorial."
