Specialist note

The same carriage, identified as the equippage of the duke of Nassau, is represented in a watercolor (17,7 x 25,9 cm.), dated 1896, in the Historisches Museum, Vienna (Rudolf von Alt 1812-1905, exhib. cat., Vienna, 1984, no. 261).
