These quartetto tables closely relate to a design by Thomas Sheraton published in The Cabinet Dictionary, London, 1803, pl. 78. A similar set of rosewood tables by Messrs Gillow & Co. were made in 1803 for Stephen Tempest of Broughton Hall, North Yorkshire (S. Stuart, Gillows of London and Lancaster, Vol. 1., p. 336, pl. 389.
